A well-loved, fabric-covered Bible lies open on a rustic wooden farmhouse table, surrounded by scattered pastel sticky notes and a thick, handmade junk journal bursting with layered pages, tags, and lace. Delicate watercolor floral doodles peek from the margins, and a fine-tip black pen rests diagonally across a page. Soft morning sunlight streams through an unseen window from the left, creating gentle highlights on the textured paper and casting calm, elongated shadows. Photographic realism with a shallow depth of field keeps the Bible and journal in sharp focus while the background, a blurred cozy living room with neutral tones, feels warm and inviting. The mood is peaceful, playful, and creative, suggesting a quiet time of prayerful Christian journaling and reflection with Jesus.

Creativity

Graceful journaling invites you to slow down, listen for God’s voice, and discover beauty in everyday faith. Have you ever heard of Bible Journaling or Junk Journaling? I have been interested in both for a number of years I love that there is creativity, but there is “no” perfection; it is a beautiful fun way to spend time with Jesus.

A bird’s-eye view of a clean white desk styled for Christian journaling, featuring a closed leather-bound Bible with a simple gold cross embossed on the cover, a spiral-bound journal with kraft paper pages, and an array of colorful washi tapes, paper ephemera, and die-cut florals neatly arranged in small ceramic dishes. A mason jar holds an assortment of brush pens in soft, muted rainbow shades. Diffused afternoon light from a nearby window washes across the scene, creating a bright, airy atmosphere with barely-there shadows. Photographic realism with crisp focus throughout emphasizes every texture, from the grain of the desk to the fibers of the paper. The composition uses the rule of thirds to keep the Bible slightly off-center, communicating an organized yet playful space ready for creative Bible, prayer, and junk journaling.
A close-up, eye-level photograph of a junk journal opened to a heavily layered page themed around gratitude, with scripture verses handwritten on torn tea-stained paper, tiny envelopes, and stitched fabric scraps in pastel pinks and soft sage greens. Vintage book pages, floral stickers, and a small hand-lettered phrase “Draw near to Jesus” are tucked into pockets. The journal rests on a linen cloth with frayed edges, next to a ceramic dish holding paper clips shaped like hearts and crosses. Warm golden hour light streams from the right, creating cozy highlights on the page edges and subtle bokeh in the softly blurred background. Photographic realism and a shallow depth of field create an intimate, tactile mood that feels gentle, worshipful, and playfully creative.

A neatly curated flat lay of prayer journaling supplies on a soft blush-pink background: a slim, dotted journal open to a page with lightly penciled prayer prompts, a small wooden cross charm, delicate dried flowers tied with twine, and pastel gel pens lined up in a satisfying gradient. Nearby, a small white ceramic tray holds washi tape rolls with subtle Christian symbols and soft florals. Overhead, diffused, studio-style lighting creates an even, shadow-softening glow, giving the colors a gentle vibrancy without harsh contrasts. The composition is minimalist and carefully balanced with negative space around the objects, in clean photographic realism. The overall mood is calm, inviting, and slightly whimsical, encouraging hesitant creatives to see prayer journaling as simple, approachable, and delightfully gentle.

Spring Journaling Class

Join us for an uplifting evening of Junk journaling, learning technics, and friendly chats as we practice creative fun together.

On a weathered whitewashed wooden surface, an open art journal spreads across the frame, its pages filled with mixed-media Christian imagery: a softly painted watercolor cross, layered hymnbook scraps, translucent vellum with typed scripture, and small stitched fabric tabs labeled “Hope,” “Joy,” and “Grace.” Scattered around are small ink pads, a well-used acrylic paint palette, and a clear stamp block resting on a grid-lined mat. Natural, overcast daylight from above-right creates diffused, even lighting with soft, comforting shadows. Shot from a slightly elevated angle in photographic realism, the focus remains sharp across the entire page, capturing every brushstroke and paper edge. The mood is gently adventurous and playful, reflecting the freedom of junk journaling as a way to explore faith creatively without needing to feel “artistic.”

Bible Journaling Circle

Join us for a cozy gathering full of prayer prompts, scripture, and quiet reflection as we explore journaling as prayer.

A cozy corner tabletop vignette featuring a chunky, cloth-covered Bible journaling notebook propped slightly open by a ceramic mug filled with herbal tea, steam curling softly into the air. The notebook’s page shows lightly sketched floral borders around a highlighted verse, with tabs, ribbons, and bits of lace peeking from the edges. A small wooden tray holds pastel sticky notes printed with simple prayer prompts and a couple of washi tape rolls. Warm lamplight from a nearby table lamp pools over the scene, creating a golden, evening-time glow that contrasts gently with the darker, blurred background of a living space. Photographic realism with a moderate depth of field keeps the notebook and mug in clear focus. The mood is intimate, restful, and quietly joyful, suggesting unhurried time with Jesus at day’s end.

COACHING have you ever thought of a coach ???

I love to help people focus on there life, health and or faith. Coaching is another way to grow. I believe life is all about our time growing here on earth. We can all use some help, guidance, in this journey of life just outside help in ideas of what/when/how/why of daily life. As a Christian I believe God wants us to do life together and yes we were never told the Christian life would be easy.

WHY A COACH

Some things about me….

I love the Lord my Father. I Give Him all the glory! More recently I have been on a life journey of my own. About 14 years ago I begin going back to church on a more regular basis where I currently go to church…. Grace Fellowship Brooklyn Park, MN. I love it here Pastor Joe is a wonderful person and speaker he has bring a huge scents of community. I have grown and met so many people that mean so much to me.

I have a long season of loss and grief. It started with my mother-in-law Theresa which I loved, she suddenly passed at her home 2016. In late 2018 my mom and best friend was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and by the grace of God I had 13 months of very good time with her, but also saw her slowly die (late 2019). Than covid happened and I run a in-home childcare with 6-8 children. Lost my dog Oscar. The most difficult came in 1/2022….. My son Arik as stranded in northern Wisconsin and passed of hypothermia. Next hopefully last for awhile my earthly father passed at 81 yr. old. The last thing I remember him saying is, “You will always be my little girl!” Thank-you dad. This is when journaling took off.

I currently have a Health Coach Certificate, Life Coach Certificate both received by the Health Coach Institute. More recently I received my Bible Journaling Ministry Leadership Certificate.

A narrow, vertical composition showing a stack of three different Christian junk journals on a light oak shelf, each with a distinct, handmade cover: one wrapped in floral fabric with a stitched cross, one in distressed leather with layered paper and lace, and one in kraft cardstock layered with vintage ticket stubs and tiny charms. Tucked between the journals are visible tags labeled “Prayer,” “Testimony,” and “Praise.” Soft side lighting from a nearby window creates gentle highlights on the spine textures and subtle shadows beneath the shelf. The background is a softly blurred wall with a framed, minimalist scripture print. Photographic realism with a shallow depth of field draws the eye to the stack as a treasured collection. The mood is reverent yet playful, celebrating the beauty of growing faith over time.
